Welcome to Tender Tuesdays @constellation_ville! On Tuesdays at 10am to 11a.

Starting on January 20th we will be gathering for a class meant to be a soft and mindful cozy pause. To connect to the true heart of wintering, we will share a practice that reflects what is needed.

You can expect a combination of gentle yoga and restorative yoga, a lot of rest and a sprinkle of Yoga Nidra guided meditations … as needed!

Constellation is such an intimate and special nest, I’m honored to be able to bring this offering and share heart centered practices with you all!

As I love to say, if there is one gift I have is to tuck people in and make them relax deeply. 🙏🏻

A sweet practice for belonging and homecoming this week for our #innerbloommondays.

We start with calling back all that belongs to us, our energy, concern, care. We call it back so that we can soak in all that is ours.

And only then we send roots to connect to other living things, and feel we belong to the net of life, to the earth.

Earthy practices are so important while wintering. Finding connection to the steady Earth while we go through shorter days. Learning that the works around is not dead, the landscape is just sleeping and resting.

Such an intimate and powerful gathering tonight under the Nee Moon in Sagittarius and getting close to the Winter Solstice.

Such a blessing to gather with new and old friends, and travel to our inner light.

If there is one thing I’m grateful for in this very hard year, is all the people that have showed up for me and shared practice. The presence, appreciation and trust I have been given has been absolutely incredible.

And… we forgive ourselves for being learners, for needing to live and experience things to build that confidence. When the expectation of picture perfect does from within, it ripples out as we help others too to joins their own dance.

This month we will gather for a special journey edition called the “Sailing towards the light: Winter Solstice and New Moon in Sagittarius Nidra”. 🛥️🌑🕯️❄️

We have so much going on in that week from a celestial standpoint! The Winter Solstice is my favorite, these days are called in the Celtic calendar the “darkest depths”, but this is also the season of light that will come back more and more after the Solstice.

Yoga Nidra is a mindfulness meditation that allows us to travel across the five layers of our being (Koshas), and reach deep states of relaxation and healing.

Plus we get to go to very wonderful places as one key part of the meditation includes a Journey.

I learnt so much on how we can bring the hearts intention and healing in a Yoga Nidra journey so that we can connect deeply with our inner layers!

November has been busy, still working on completing the second advanced training by the end of December.

Yoga Nidra is an absolute gift, and practice is teaching me day after day that we can truly travel within our inner layers and find some moments of healing and peace.

Inner Bloom Mondays is back!

Let it goo, let it gooooo! Elsa would agree with us that letting go its not easy, she had to run all alone and build an ice castle after she grew up concealing her powers.

Every time in a yoga practice I hear “just let it go” I have a gut reaction, a voice inside that says yeah like if it was easy. And of course nothing is easy, but also placing pressure on peoples ability to just let go of anxiety, sadness or anything really just creates a sense of “I’m clearly not doing it well enough”.

The truth that comes from what we know about trauma and difficult emotions is that they just ask to be felt. And feeling them sometimes seems like unbearable.

So letting go it’s not a pure act of volition, it’s a process for our body and mind. And we can start just with a seed intention to let go of something, even a very small habit.

In the practices I teach I talk about about this seed intention as the catalyst of the process.

Emerging from being sick, I felt this calling to start the week with you all sharing practices that can help us navigating our weeks TOGETHER.

I am keeping the videos short so that you can get a taste of the practice and then bring it with you during the weeks, and practice it for how long you have time for.

💗This week I want to share with you the CIRCLE OF LOVE meditation.

With this meditation we connec with all the beings that have inspired you for their love and kindness… people, animals, plants any living being. Maybe they’re alive and you met them in real life, maybe you read about them.

Maybe it’s that teacher who believed in you. That poet that wrote words that seemed to just read inside your soul.

Welcome your circle of love, the circle of benevolent allies gathering around you, and you’re at the center. The recipient of their love and kindness.

How does it feel to be inside this cocoon of love and protection? Where do you feel a sensation in your body?

If you find a sensation, can you spread it from that point in your body to all your body, like if you had a magic paintbrush. All your body being a body of love and kindness.

You can stay her as long as you would like, soaking in this bath of benevolent energy.

When you feel read to transition, let’s bring one had to the heart and the other one on top, and let’s send ourselves words of love and kindness.

“May I be happy, may I be safe and may I be living with ease this week”.

Slowly open your eyes.

I surely don’t know the perfect recipe, but I’m finding inspiration in connections and Nature. In the Sacred Spaces.

For each of us it would be somewhere or something different. Those places are the ones we can soften in, and let us be found. In sacred rest.

💓 What is Restorative Yoga and why I am in absolute love with it?

Restorative yoga is about accepting support from the props. Can be done anywhere, you just need cushions and blanket and maybe books!

It is not about stretching harder. It’s about starting to accept the idea that we can release the grip of tension and control, and trust that we are held.

And this is not easy at the beginning. But as everything, it is matter of practicing and showing up is enough.

💓 How do I teach Restorative Yoga?

In my restorative yoga practice and classes I start with some rest on the ground, and then follow work some dynamic stretches to prepare the joints and the body to stillness.

I also bring Mudras, that are truly yoga for our hands! These shapes come to us from ancient wisdom and carry meanings and qualities that we explore in class.

We usually explore few shapes in stillness and with the support of the props, and end with a blissful Savasana with me sometimes playing chimes for a little sound bath love.

I love to give Reiki (hands on or off) at the end of class to each of the participants if they have interest and consent. Reiki is a cosmic hug, benevolent energy that a practitioner is able to channel to our body and mind.

“My strength is not determined by the heaviness I choose to carry.

When I loosen my grip on what once was, I allow myself to experience the fullness of what is now.

Some reflections on this week of the autumn equinox. About liminal spaces, about the apparent contradiction between harvesting and stocking up resources in preparation for the winter

AND

Letting go of what no longer serves us.

The leaves might be dancing in the air. But the roots are still there.

One thing I want to say about letting and go and surrender. I find that often times it becomes easy to hear in yoga classes that now we just let go, we just surrender.

My personal view point is that this creates pressure and if we don’t feel lighter in that moment we might feel we are failing at the practice.

I like to think that all starts with the intention of letting go. Like a little seed we store waiting for the spring.

Maybe nothing happens today, maybe nothing happens for a year. It doesn’t mean there is no progress, it means that we start a process that will unfold with a sacred timeline.

I say this for personal experience. When we hold heavy things for our life or the life of the world, we might feel we should be better at letting go. It should be faster.

Truth is, it will take the time it needs to take.

In Nature there are a trees that retain their leaves longer than others, they have their own personal timeline.

Some reflections on this week of the autumn equinox. About liminal spaces, about the apparent contradiction between harvesting and stocking up resources in preparation for the winter

AND

Letting go of what no longer serves us.

The leaves might be dancing in the air. But the roots are still there.

One thing I want to say about letting and go and surrender. I find that often times it becomes easy to hear in yoga classes that now we just let go, we just surrender.

My personal view point is that this creates pressure and if we don’t feel lighter in that moment we might feel we are failing at the practice.

I like to think that all starts with the intention of letting go. Like a little seed we store waiting for the spring.

Maybe nothing happens today, maybe nothing happens for a year. It doesn’t mean there is no progress, it means that we start a process that will unfold with a sacred timeline.

I say this for personal experience. When we hold heavy things for our life or the life of the world, we might feel we should be better at letting go. It should be faster.

Truth is, it will take the time it needs to take.

In Nature there are a trees that retain their leaves longer than others, they have their own personal timeline.

The last of the Niyamas is Ishvara Pranidhana, surrender, wholehearted devotion. Offering the fruits of our actions to something greater.

This sutras is about Bhakti, this concept of surrendering into the arms of something greater.

And this can be an act of faith. I like to think at surrendering at something that happens in connection versus in a state of being unthethered. Something that happens in our roots.

Feeling part of nature, humankind and all beings as our kin can help us build a beautiful network of roots, an intelligent mycelium. And from this connection through the roots we can then look at the sky, and offer knowing that we belong.

As I connect with Nature, all beings and humankind I find peace.

The fourth of the Niyamas is Svadhyaya, self study.

We are used to think that knowledge comes from sources outside of ourselves. I am definitely a very passionate lover of learning, and always look at the best thing to learn even while I’m learning other 1000 things!

Svadhyaya is about turning our eyes inward, considering our inner landscape worth being explored. We are worthy of curiosity.

And our yoga practice can become a bountiful experience when we are curious about how a shape feels, what thoughts feelings sensations are flowing thru us.

When I am curious about myself, my inner light can shine brighter.

We become curious when we travel up to the fourth of the koshas, Vijnanamaya Kosha the witness. The loving mother that has a wide vision, the intelligence of the heart where the is no right or wrong. It just is.

To get there, we need to connect and relax our Physical Body (Annamaya Kosha), Breath Energy body (Pranamaya Kosha) and our Mental Emotional body (Manomaya Kosha).

The key is noticing the body, our breath and thoughts and feelings. Yoga gives us many tools to embark on this journey.

Can you be curious about something within yourself? Can you come back in your sense and notice?

In this fall Equinox 🍁and new moon 🌑, honoring my ancestral roots. With all that comes with it.

My ancestors didn’t have an easy life. I don’t come from abundance. I come from a lineage that didn’t have a lot of means, that had to be focused a lot on survival. I come from a lineage of very strong women, that stepped up to roles that at some times in history were filled by man.

I come from pain, struggle, fierceness. I come from the stories told about the war, about struggling to put bread on the table. About rebuilding with nothing available to do so.

I come from bold choices made to support the survival needs of children. From hard physical work. From the absence of space and luxury to do what they wanted. There was no time even to fathom that question.

From fear and desire of protection for family and values.

And I come from two parents who didn’t have anything easy, but they built and built and built. Relentlessly. And always wanted the absolute best for me. And always supported me, every day support me.

In that field that Rumi says is beyond what is labeled as good and bad, right or wrong … I meet all my ancestors there. All my story across lifetimes.

I was born with this innate yearn for finding my home. I left my roots, crossed oceans. Always split in two, between wanting to fly and being grounded. Being close to my roots and not finding my place there or anywhere.

To discover that HOME is not a place, is something inside the heart. Is where the effort of escaping ceases.

I might have not found it yet, or I might not find it ever. Maybe my journey is the way, the soul contract for me is to travel across contradictions.

This week I honor the roots and the sky, the balance between being rooted and rising.

The roots never stop loving and thinking about their flowers.

For them,
With them
Because I am them.

The third of the Niyamas is Tapas, the Inner purifying fire.

In the Sutras we read that by living with zeal and dedication our inner flame of passion ignites, so that our inner light and true self can reveal itself.

Tapas is a lot also about cutting cords with what disperses our energy, and find focus.

And yes sometimes it means DOING LESS. I struggle with this a whole lot, and then when spread thin I don’t even remember where is my passion. Maybe sometimes end up going to the motions to just survive.

The second of the Niyamas is Santosha, or contentment.

Contentment is not about fireworks and fleeting joy. It doesn’t have that fleeting and spiking aspects of feelings. Contentment is more cooling, steady.

It is about being content beside external factors and events and oh boy, we all know how hard it is.

For me Santosha is a lot about the inner lake of peace. That place in the body and mind that we can replenish via any practice that soothe us, that grounds us.

I am content right here, right now.

There is a special type of lightness that comes with not having to worry about past and future.

And even if we taste it for just one second, that’s the first step in the path to Santosha.

The first of the Niyamas is Saucha. It translates as cleanliness and simplicity.

I loved reading about Saucha as the celebration of a simple way of life, of it being about lightness of being.

I think we can all agree that we are not navigating at all light times, and we might even be feeling guilty about being light with all the suffering we live and witness.

But, the world still needs joy. Still needs lightness bubble to ripple.

Let’s explore Saucha with this first acknowledgement of what feels heavy. May we, like trees bearing fruits or plants bearing seeds, let them go back to earth? And then evoke something that gives us unencumbered joy.

How does that feel in the body? Can we expand those sensation to the rest of the body like if we were painting over it?

We can just be curious of these feelings and sensations of lightness even if they visit us for few moments.

We need them. The world needs them.

We had a full house and beautiful human beings trusting me in this practice of sacred rest and journey through the layers of our being!

We went to a lake, and journeyed on a canoe with a whirlwind of starts and fireflies.
